‘Bhashan Pala’ airs during Eid on Channel 9

For Eid, a six day long special, programme will telecast on Channel 9 that portrays the rich traditional performing arts of Bangladesh.    The custom has been expanded through folk dramas and wide range of dance and songs. “Bhashan Pala,” is a story depicted through performance.  “Pala,” the performing art features stories on Imam Hassan and Husayn or Radha Krishno or religion based stories, which is presented with storytelling and dance. The most popular “Behulay-Lakhindar” is a mythological story inspired and based on the Bengali epic Manasamangal.    The story will be acted with songs and dance and will be performed by the artistes from Kustia district.  “Behulay-Lakhindar’s” birth, marriage and stories with venomous snake will be shown in the six episodes of the six day programme on Channel 9 at 4:50pm everyday.
