Foundation stone of Abdul Hamid Medical College & Hospital laid

The foundation stone for a medical college and hospital named after President Abdul Hamid was laid yesterday.    Dr Gowher Rizvi, international affairs advisor to the prime minister, laid the foundation stone at the Jafrabad Dakter Bari area in the district’s Karimganj upazila.   Rashida Hamid, chairman of the institution, presided over the ceremony, which was also addressed by lawmaker Rejwan Ahmed Toufiq and Managing Director of the college Dr ANM Noushad Khan.    Among others present were Md. Jonab Ali, chairman of Karimganj upazila parishad, and advocate Suhrab Uddin, chairman of Pakundia upazila parishad.
