At least 10 people were injured during a clash between rival Awami League activists at the Char Afra area of Pangsha upazila in Rajbari.
Over 30 houses were damaged during the 4-hour long fight.
Police said the clash ensued at around 10am when a local group of Awami League activists, led by Mojibor Fakir, attempted to take over Ward Commissioner Fazlu Member’s house.
The clash might have occurred because of the two leaders’ rivalry over establishing supremacy in the region, police said.
The clash left ten people injured, including a sixty-year-old villager named Khaja Nazim Uddin. The injured were taken to Faridpur Medical College and Panghsa Upazila Health Complex.
