Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) will hold a two-day fair titled “DCCI Entrepreneurship and Innovation Expo-2013” at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre on November 1 in Dhaka.
It would be a part of the chamber’s efforts in creating 2,000 new entrepreneurs across the country. The entrepreneurs would later be exposed both locally and globally.
As part of the initiative, the DCCI held a preparatory meeting with banks, NBFIs and SME at SME and Special Programmes Department (SMESPD) of Bangladesh Bank (BB) .
Sukamal Sinha Choudhury, General Manager of SMESPD of BB presided over the meeting, where SME heads of 19 Banks and NBFIs, DCCI convenor M S Siddiqui, DCCI acting
Secretary Bashir Haider, Joint Secretary of DCCI Fazlul Karim, were present.
Sukamal Sinha Choudhury urged the officials of bank sand NBFIs to cooperate DCCI to make the project a successful one.
“To uphold the new entrepreneurs, Bangladesh Bank will take necessary policy initiatives and the bankers will also create new products for new entrepreneurs,” he added. He requested banks and NBFIs to promote the programme through their more than 8,500 branches.
