Any Abedin, a talented actress of the small screen, has already created a buzz by showing her skill in portraying versatile characters. In an interview with the Dhaka Tribune, Any Abedin shares her aspirations, recent ventures and future plans.
Nowadays, she is busy acting in a number of drama series which are being broadcasted on different channels. “Azimpur Express” directed by Anwar Hossain on NTV, “Nojirbihin Nojor Ali” directed by Himu Akram on RTV and “Relation,” directed by Pallab Biswas are mentionable among those.
Having an academic background in dance, Any aspired to be an actress since her childhood, and her family supported her thoroughly to make the dream come true. She debuted in the drama serial titled “FnF” directed by Redwan Roni aired on NTV, and instantly grabbed the attention of viewers.
Any, who wants to be a character artist, got chance to work in another play titled “Palki,” where she played an exceptional role. She calls it the “turning point” of her career. The play was based on the story of the Liberation War, where Any was seen opposite Sajal.
Her performance in the productions “College,” scripted and directed by Pallab Biswas, and “Gontonbyo Chunkhali,” earned huge appreciations from the audience.
“I want to act in dimensional characters. So, I always prefer to experiment with my acting capability.” Talking about her dream co-actor, Any said, “Jahid Hasan. I am a great fan of his since my childhood and it would be a dream come true if I ever get chance to act with him.” On the other hand, Any considers Subarna Mostafa and Jaya Ahsan as the most inspiring actresses. “I want to see myself in such an influenital position of the entertainment industry as set by those two prominent ladies,” said Any about where she wanted to be in ten years.
