Chompa and Swagata again after 20 years

After twenty years, superstar of Bangla cinema Chompa and current day actress and singer Swagota will be seen together on Eid special telefilm “Otopor Bhalobasha.” The telefilm is written by Mujotba Syed and directed by Tonmoy Tahsin. The drama is a production of SR Media and its shooting has started recently.   Both the leading ladies play roles of lovelorn women in the drama. While talking about the tele-film, Chompa expressed: “The script is immaculately put together by Mujotba and I really liked the story, so, I decided to work in the drama. I enjoyed working with Shahiduzzaman Selim, in the drama, he plays the role of my husband. Promising new comer Rimon plays the character of my lover.”   The versatile and talented Swagota states: “I am really excited to work with Chompa after all this time. She is such a talented star, acting with such personas is always an exhilarating experience. We are really having fun in the sets and I hope the audience would love the drama.”   Before twenty years, Chompa and Swagata worked in a film “Top Maastan,” where Swagata was only six years old and played the childhood role of Chompa. In the film, Shabnaam featured in the mother’s role and Abul Hayat was in the father’s role. The film was directed by Fazal Ahmed Benajir.  Chompa worked in the drama series “Second Innings,” directed by Idris Hayat which is aired on Asian TV. At present, she started working on the sequel of “Most Wanted-2.”    For Eid specials, Swagata has recently finished working with Shusmoy Shumon, Lutfur Nahar Moushumi, Moin Ahmed and Matia Banu Shukor.
