The students of Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) blocked the Maijdee-Subarnachar highway near the university area yesterday in their demand of reopening the campus and resuming of scheduled classes.
Later in a short briefing they claimed that all classes are suspended since June 30. As a result they have fallen into three months of session jam. Though it was announced that examinations was going to start after Eid-Ul-Fitr, their syllabus remains incomplete. They also claimed that NSTU was not following its previous examination schedule.
Nurul Karim, 3rd year student of applied mathematics, Anik Ghose of English department, Fatema Farhana of English department and Arup Ghose of microbiology department spoke at the briefing.
