Two people, including a minor girl, were killed and 10 others injured in separate road accidents in Comilla and Habiganj districts on Friday.
In Comilla, one person was killed and 10 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a car at Jinglatali in Daudkandi upazila at night.
The deceased was car passenger Shuken Chandra, 48, of Singail village, Muradnagar upazila, reports UNB.
Police said the accident occurred on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway at night when the Chittagong-bound bus Econo Paribahan from Dhaka collided with the Dhaka-bound car, leaving Shuken dead on the spot and 10 passengers of the both vehicles injured.
Police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for post mortem examination.
The injured were rushed to Gouripur Health Complex.
In Habiganj, a minor girl was crushed to death under the wheels of a bus on the Bypass Road at Anwarpur village, sadar upazila in the morning. The deceased was Koli Akter, 9, of Bajuka village of Ashtagram upazila, Kishoreganj.
Police said a speeding Dhaka-bound bus ran over Koli when she was crossing the road, leaving her dead on the spot.
