Eminent agro-scientist Md Abdul Khaleque was appointed the 11th registrar of Bangladesh Agricultural University.
The registrar took new position formally on Thursday as 10th registrar Md Nazibur Rahman went into retirement on Wednesday.
Syndicate of the university appointed the scientist as registrar in its 301th meeting.
Md Abdul Khaleque joined as a Deputy Registrar in July 2000 and was appointed the post of Additional Registrar in August 2006.
He completed his graduation from animal husbandry faculty and MSc in general animal science from the university.
He was a general member of Bangladesh Animal Husbandry Association, and a joint secretary of BAU Chapter of Krishibid Institution, Bangladesh.
