Veteran lawyer and constitution expert Dr M Zahir, 74, died at a hospital in Bangkok on Thursday morning.
The eminent Supreme Court lawyer died at about 10am local time, while undergoing cancer treatment.
Advocate Rabiul Alam Dudu, a Supreme Court lawyer and Dr Zahir’s colleague, confirmed this report to the Dhaka Tribune.
Sources said his body would be flown to Dhaka on Friday. He will be laid to rest at the Banani graveyard in the city.
Dr Zahir began his career as a lawyer in 1962.
