The songs of the much awaited film “Jibondhuli” by eminent director Tanvir Mokammel, is out now in the market.    The CD contains six songs: two folk songs collected from different sources and the rest of the four songs have been written by Tanvir Mokammel. Syed Shabab Ali Arzoo, the music director of the film, has composed the songs. Folk singer Abu Bakr Siddik, actress Chittralekha Guha, who also acts in “Jibondhuli”, and Mrinal Dutta have lent their voices to the songs.   The songs are one of the major features of the film to attract the audience, shared Mokammel with Dhaka Tribune. This is the first time for Mokammel to release the songs of his film formally before the release of the film.   The launching ceremony of the album was held on July 7 evening at the Bangladesh Film Institute auditorium at Lake Circus, Kalabagan. Since the movie is based on the tragedy of the war of independence, the cover of the album was unveiled by Rajkumari Dasi Sundori, a survivor of the infamous Chuknagar genocide by the Pakistani army in Khulna in 1971. Her parents were killed in the genocide but she was rescued by a local farmer.    Sundori, who is now a house wife, became moved at the launching ceremony to have such recognition.    The movie is set release in August.
