The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) has requested consumers to be economical in their use of electricity in Ramadan to ensure uninterrupted power supply during sehri, iftar and tarabi prayer times.
The FBCCI also asked shops and markets to close after 8pm up to Ramadan 10, said a press release issued yesterday. The apex trade and industry body also requested owners not to decorate their shops with lighting.
Users of air conditioners were also requested to minimise its use during the evening hours.
