Cultural organisation Rabirag celebrated its special monsoon programme titled “Borshamongol,” held at the Public Library auditorium on July 6.
The programme began with a chorus of “Bishwabina Robe.” A melodious song named “Kodomborei Kanon” was performed by renowned singer Amina Ahmed and an array of Tagore’s timeless songs was presented in group and solo performances. Sadi Mohammad and Shayma Ali performed the duet “Shogongogon Ghor.”
Moreover, an enthusiastic dance recital by the artistes of Nrityanchal was an added attraction of the show. A group dance recital was performed by the students of Nrityanchal with “Khoro Bayu Boy” and “Ami Tokhon Chelem.” The programme ended with a dance performance on a popular song “Pagla Hawar Badol Dine.”
Renowned singers Amina Ahmed, Sadi Mohammad, Shama Ali, Naznin Sultana, Nandita Yeasmin, Shopon Datta, Indrany Kormokar, Monju and many more performed solo songs at the programme. Students of Chhayanaut performed in chorus.
The featured songs of the programme were “Aji Jhoro Jhoro,” “Amon O Dine Tare Bola Jai,” “Aji Hridoy Amar Jay,” “Bojro Manik Dea Gatha” and more from the list of 28 performances.
The music and dance show relishing the beauty of the romantic season was attended by a house-full audience at the auditorium of the public library.
