A fire broke out at Rahat Tower in the capital’s Banglamotor area on Monday morning.
The fire broke out at around 7:50am on the 8th floor of the 14-storey building.
Five fire fighting units have worked to douse the fire.
The fire was under control at 8:40am, confirmed the fire service control room. The fire may have been ignited by an electrical short circuit.
