Displaying the perfect team spirit, RTV emerged as the champions of the Kool-BSJA Media Cup Football beating Channel 24 4-3 in the tie-breaker of an exciting final at the artificial turf of the Bangladesh Football Federation on July 3.
Channel 24 dominated the game, but failed to score and much to their dismay forward Walid Birol hit the woodwork twice in the either half of the match.
RTV’s skipper and custodian Anwar Haque once again was the hero of the day as he pulled out three saves in the penalty shootout to win the title for his team.
Bangla Vision won the Fair Play trophy of the tournament.
BFF president Kazi Salahuddin distributed the prizes as the chief guest. BFF vice-president Badal Roy, Square Toiletries head of marketing Malik Md. Saeed and the Dutch assistant coach of the national football team Rene Koster were also present as special guests.
The tournament was participated by 24 leading media houses of the country.
