Country’s fastest man Mezbah Ahmed crashed out of the hit in the Asian track and field 100metre sprint in Pune in India on July 2. The BKSP athlete crossed the finish line in 10.99 seconds to finish fifth in the second hit. Another Bangladeshi sprinter Abu Rayhan failed to touch the finishing line.
Abu Rayhan, who won gold in 200m in the 8th Bangladesh Games, will also take part in 200metre event.
Among the other Bangladeshis, Nazmunnahar Beauty and Zakia Sultana will participate in the women’s 100metre hit.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) officials are not satisfied with the athletics discipline ahead of their preparation for the upcoming Asian Youth Games.
The BOA officials found out some disorders after visiting the athletics camp recently, informed BOA training and development committee member secretary wing commander Rafiqul Islam.
