Update : 01 Jul 2013, 03:02 PM

Some unidentified miscreants attacked a temple of the goddess Kali at Langura village under Durgapur upazila in Netrokona on Sunday night. The attackers damaged three idols of the temple.

Juton Das, caretaker of the temple, said at about 11pm on Sunday he had returned home from the temple. When he went to the temple Monday morning, he found that attackers damaged three idols including the idol of the goddess Kali.

Nogen Chandra Das, a villager of Langura, said they do not have any clue as to when and who attacked the temple but they have all fallen into a panicked situation.

Raton Chandra Das, another local of the village, said they were afraid that the miscreants would attack their houses. Officer-In-Charge of Durgapur police station Alamgir Hossen visited the spot. None have been arrested so far.
