In an effort to help people make plans to buy plots and apartments, the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) is going to arrange a fair, “REHAB Summer Fair-2003,” in the city beginning on June 26, reports UNB.
“It’s an effort to introduce new products with the customers. This fair will give them ideas and help them plan to buy plots and apartments,” Rehab General Secretary M Wahiduzzaman said on Wednesday.
He said any government decision in favour of the sector encourages both the customers and people involved in this business. “We’re expecting a good show with a larger participation of customers that will help us promote our products. However, the budget execution will start in July.”
He said State Minister for Housing and Public Works Abdul Mannan Khan will inaugurate the four-day fair that will be held at Ruposhi Bangla Hotel in the city.
Housing and Public Works Ministry Secretary Dr Khondaker Showkat Hossain and Rehab President Nazrul Hamid, MP will also be present at the inaugural function.
The Rehab leader said financial institutions and building material companies will also participate in the fair. “We’re encouraging them.”
Over 120 housing companies will participate in the fair, the organisers said.
The finance minister in the proposed budget for the coming fiscal year allowed investment of undisclosed money in the housing sector.
