The Public Works Department has declared six risky buildings of the staff colony of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) abandoned.
The announcement came on Monday after a portion of a three-storey building of the staff quarter of grade four employees of the hospital collapsed Sunday.
Chittagong PWD officials and CMCH authorities visited the buildings Monday morning and asked the residents to evacuate the buildings.
