Winner of “Lux Channel-i Superstar 2009,” Mehazabien Chowdhury has established herself as a talented model and actress in TV. Moreover, her career is on a roll with her acting in silver screen as well. She has recently signed her second film “Duboshohor” which will be directed by Mostafa Sarwar Farooki. Tisha and Mehazabien are playing the lead characters of the two young girls.
Mehazabien shares her future plan and vision with Dhaka Tribune:
What you are up to nowadays?
I had an accident few days back and was advised for complete bed-rest by my physician. I will start working again from today.
I have already completed shooting for some Eid special programmes, Eid is always a busy time for us and I loved every minute of my shooting for the Eid programmes.
I am also preparing for my next film “Duboshohor” and still shooting for my first film “Porobashini” by Shopon Ahmed.
What do you think about developing your acting career?
Acting is such a career that you get to learn something new every day. Transforming your usual self into the character you are playing is not an easy task for everyone and that is how a star stands out from ordinary actors.
As I do not have any academic background in acting, I always try to learn from our senior actors. Even, I love to work with different actors.
In my point of view, learning history, taking academic acting lessons and studying are not important. Watching talented actors’ works and getting the first-hand opportunity to work with them is much more educational. I enjoy my leisure time watching movies and observing acting styles of legendary actors.
Where do you see yourself ten years from now?
I am not into mapping my steps with ten year plans, going with the flow is more my style. I want to take everyday as it comes and see what life has in store for me.
I am hoping to develop my career as a successful actress and really looking forward to seeing myself as the best actress in Bangladesh in ten years time.
Who is your dream character?
Rose, from Titanic is my dream character.
