Unidentified criminals hurled three to four bombs at the residence of Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu in the capital’s Dar-us-Salam area Sunday afternoon.
The minister was not at home at the time and no one else was reported injured, said Jasim Ahmed, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police’s Mirpur Division.
The bombs, which were hurled at around 2:30pm, partially damaged one of the windows of the building, he said.
Police have not yet managed to detain anyone in connection with the incident.
Additional law enforcers have been deployed around the minister’s house.
On May 28, three crude bombs were hurled at the official residence of Foreign Minister Dipu Moni in the capital’s Eskaton area.
