The recommendations and pay structures of the Eighth Wage Board for the media industry would be finalised and published this month, said Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu.
He was talking to a delegation of the Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) in the conference room of the information ministry Sunday morning.
The delegation was led by the running DUJ President Omar Faruq and former president Shah Alamgir.
Inu also said the formulation of the policies for newspapers, online, broadcast and private channels were underway.
He hoped that the policies would be finalised in about three months’ time.
The Eighth Wage Board was formed in June last year in line with the Bangladesh Labour Law 2006.
The Seventh Wage Board was formed and implemented in 2008.
