Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested six people form different places of the capital and Gazipur district early Saturday in connection with Rajshahi city Jubo League (JL) president Dablu killing, reported UNB.
The main accused Mahfuzur Rahman was among the arrestees while identity of the rest could not be known immediately.
Rab headquarters sources said on a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted drives at many places in Dhaka and Gazipur in the dead of night and arrested the main accused along with his five other accomplices.
The elite force officials were interrogating them at Rab 1 headquarters, added the Rab sources.
On May 22, a group of miscreants fired shots at Sarwar Hossain Dablu, 40, acting president of No 7 ward of Rajshahi city Jubo League and son of Abdur Razzaque of Chandipu, near his residence, leaving him injured.
Later, he died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
