Theatre (Bailey Road) will stage its acclaimed production “Meraj Fokirer Ma” at the Experimental Theatre Hall of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy at 6:30pm Friday.
Iconic playwright Abdullah Al Mamun’s play “Meraj Fokirer Ma” is all about the conflict raging between relationship and religion. It presents a debate between fundamentalism and progressiveness.
Like most of Mamun’s plays, the theatrical production also deals with social issues like superstition, fundamentalism, gender discrimination and others.
The cast includes Ferdousi Majumdar, Tropa Majumdar, Ramendu Majumdar, Tanvir Samdani, Maruf Kabir, Robin Bosak and many more.
