GTV airs drama series “Maya” 8pm Thursday night. The interesting drama will be showcased twice a week on Wednesday and Thursday. “Maya” is directed by Masud Mohiuddin. Wahida Mallik Joli, Rahmat Ali, Lutfur Rahman George, Shamima Naznin, Shamima Tushty, Mahmudul Islam Mithu, Tahmina Sultana Mou, Nafija Jahan and many more acted in this drama series.
The plot of the series is about village politics. Robiul is a school teacher and son of the chairman of the village Amzad Hossain. Suddenly he gets married to a lady named Maya from the neighbouring village with taka 1crore Den Mohor, the security money for the bride according to Muslim marriage law. The huge amount of Den Mohor creates a shockwave to the villagers. Some people try to create problems in Maya’s married life. They try to convince Maya and her father to give divorce to her husband and take the whole money. Finally, Maya’s father convinces Maya for the divorce. He falsely locks her up in her own home and do not let her go to her husband’s home.
After few days Maya realizes that she has done mistake and wants to go back to her husband. But her father does not listen to her and meanwhile her relation with her husband becomes complicated.
