Export incentive increased for 10 products

An inter-ministerial meeting on Monday with Finance Minister AMA Muhith in the chair made the decision to encourage more export of those products. The products include ships, potatoes, bone powder, leather goods and jute products. Of them, the agricultural products has received 20% cash incentive. The export incentive for the shipping industry has been increased to 10% from 5%. Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed also attended the meeting. He said: “While the government has decided to give cash incentives to new non-traditional exportable items to boost their exports, incentives for some regular exportable items have also been increased.”
