Update : 09 Aug 2016, 07:41 PM

The incident took place early Wednesday.

Raumari police station Officer-in-Charge ABM Sajedul Islam confirmed it to the Dhaka Tribune saying that the body of Nurul Amin, 32, son of Muksed Ali from Khetab Char village, was sent to the district hospital morgue for autopsy.

Protesting the killing Border Guard Bangladesh's Datvanga Outpost Company Commander Abdul Aziz sent a letter to the BSF camp concerned urging a flag meeting.

According to BGB and locals, a BSF patrol team from India's Dweepchar camp opened fire at Nurul Amin around 3am when he along with three others tried to smuggle cattle into Bangladesh from the country.

However, Nurul managed to reach his residence with bullet wounds on his neck and died of injuries an hour later.
