Drama serial “Akash Meghe Dhaka” airs on SATV on Tuesday and Wednesday at 8:30pm. The drama is written by Anindita Datta Chowdhury and directed by Jewel Mahmud. Popular soap actors Azmeri Haque Badhon, Amzad Hossain, Sabbir, Pollob, Chitralekha Guho, Farzana Chobi and many more stars can be seen in the drama.
“Akash Meghe Dhaka” portrays the societal and critical norms of Bangladesh in a conventional setting. The story revolves around a girl name Bonna who was passing her life happily with her family members. She is the much adored daughter of her father and he is very indulgent to all her wishes. Bonna is in a relationship with a guy named Sandy, but her doting family was unaware of the fact.
One day, out of the blue her father makes the announcement that it was time for Bonna to tie the knot, in a state of panic, she admits of her affair to her father. When her father heard the unexpected announcement, he was pale for a moment, but agreed on a meeting with Sandy. Bonna was filled with inexplicable joy until Sandy betrayed her. On the meeting with her father, Sandy told him to marry her off to a man of her father’s choice.
On the day of her wedding, she received a text from Sandy that said “How can I live without you”? Without thinking about the consequences, Bonna deserts the ceremony and in humiliating shock, her father dies of a heart attack. When she goes to Sandy’s place to find solace, she is met with the unwelcome sight of him in bed with another woman. After the initial shock began to wear off, she decides to punish herself for her immoral behaviour that ended her father’s life. In a moment’s decision, she goes to the railway station to throw herself in front of a running train and commit suicide.
