The activities at Shah Amanat International Airport and Chittagong Seaport resumed in full swing on Friday.
Squadron leader Rabiul Alam, station manager of the airport, said the activities at the airport resumed in the morning with a domestic flight of Regent Airways from Dhaka landing at the airport at 10:26am, reports UNB.
All activities at the airport were suspended on Wednesday afternoon fearing destruction from the tropical storm Mahasen.
Different equipments were also moved away from the airport for safety. “The airport activities resumed this morning after reinstalling the apparatus,” Rabiul said.
Meanwhile, the unloading of goods from ships at the Chittagong Seaport restarted on Friday afternoon.
Port secretary Syed Farhad Uddin Ahmed said the unloading of goods resumed around 1pm after the ships were taken to the main jetty from the outer anchorage.
The vessels were moved away to the outer anchorage on Wednesday for safety.
Earlier, the delivery of goods from different shades of the port started on Thursday afternoon.
