Millward Brown opens Dhaka office

Millward Brown, a global leader in brand, media and communications research, has launched its official operation in Dhaka.

The US-based company has been conducting research assignments in Bangladesh for several years but there was no permanent office before, says a press release yesterday.

It said the company decided to open a permanent office in Dhaka to support local, regional and global clients better.

The office will be led by by Samina Afrin who recently joined Millward Brown from Nielsen Bangladesh.

Before beginning operation here, the company’s Bangladeshi clients received services from its Singapore office.

Prasun Basu, managing director of South Asia of the company, said, “Bangladesh is a “Next 11” market, dynamic and evolving. It is of critical importance to our regional and global clients, and a large thriving set of local Bangladeshi clients who are eager for the best global expertise that companies such as Millward Brown can bring.”

Travyn Rhall, CEO of Millward Brown in Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific said, “Millward Brown continues its business expansion strategy of investing in growing markets.”

He said we are working with many leading brands in the South Asia region and opening in Dhaka gives us a really solid foundation from which to grow our client partnerships.
