“Shesher Ratri,” a tele-film adapted from Tagore’s story and directed by Anjan Aich will air on Maasranga at 8pm on Thursday.
Small screen’s sweetheart Sarika will star in the drama, along with Dolly Johur, Prithu, Rezwana Lopa and Mrinal Dutta Promukh.
The story is about Jotin, a man suffering from an unknown ailment, counting his last days. Even though he is married, his wife is immature and irresponsible and he is cared for by his aunt.
His wife left him one fine day to visit her father’s house to attend the 7 month ceremony of her little sister, she did not stay back and ignored the pleas of his aunt. Jotin’s health starts to fail drastically and he becomes desperate to see his wife one last time before he leaves this world.
