Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday received cheques from more organisations and individuals for the ‘Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund’ for the families of Savar building collapse victims.
Prime Minister’s press secretary Abul Kalam Azad said Sheikh Hasina received the cheques of donation from eight organisations and individuals at her office. He, however, gave no figure.
The organisations and individuals who donated the cheques are two ministers, officials and staff of Labour and Employment Ministry and Environment and Forest Ministry, Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority (Bepza), Petrobangla, Former FBCCI president Yousuf Abdullah Harun, Panna Group, Apollo Construction & Media, M/S Islam & Son, Uttara Baitun Noor Jame Masjid Foundation, Academia and AYZ Express.
The Prime minister will again receive the cheques of financial assistance for the Savar victims at her office on May 14.
