Eminent singer Sabina Yasmin, for the first time, is bringing out a solo Tagore music album titled “Ami Sondhya Dwiper Shikha” marking the birth anniversary of the Nobel Laureate poet.
Under the banner of Impress Audio Vision, the album presents a total of 10 timeless Tagore songs including “Amar Ei Poth Chawatei Anando,” “Badol Diner Prothom Kodom Phul,” “Ami Shondhya Dwiper Shikha,” “Tumi Khushi Thako,” “Bidai Korechho Jarey,” “Na Boley Jai Pachhe Sey” and others.
The album was scheduled to release last year on the death anniversary of Tagore, but due to some unavoidable circumstances it was held back.
Sabina, who achieved immense popularity mainly for her unique presentation of patriotic songs and playbacks, previously presented Tagore songs in a duet album with Tapan Mahmud which was released around 13-14 years back.
The music arrangement is done by Kolkata based music director Rocket Mandal while the overall coordination is done by Jahangir.
