A touchy song on Savar tragedy titled “Nazninder Jibon Bachano Boro Je Proyojon,” written and composed by Mujahidul Haque Lenin and sung by Ibne Khaldun Razon, is out now on Youtube.
The catastrophic eight-storey building collapse in Savar on April 24 has shaken the nation with deep sorrow, made the talented artiste Lenin to express his emotions through the song. Prominent singer Razon enriched the song by giving his expressive voice that narrates a story of a fictional character, Naznin, a garment worker.
A description of the struggling life of Naznin, who symbolises the miserable lives of millions garment workers of Bangladesh, is found in the song. The song satires the nation which could not evaluate the labours given by millions of Naznins and the country’s economy remain alive with the cost of their lives. The title of the song urges for ensuring safety and security for the Naznins.
