Abdur Rashid Sheikh, a 60-year-old man from Lohajang, Munshiganj, was killed when a boundary wall collapsed on him at Gendaria, Dhaka.
The officer in charge of Gendaria police station confirmed the identity of the deceased.
The boundary wall of the house at 61/1, Satish Sircar road fell on two pedestrians around 12 noon. When taken to Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital, Abdur Rashid was declared dead.
An old woman was injured in the incident.
Deputy Commissioner of Wari division Mojammel Haq has confirmed the details of the incident.
The family members of the owner of the house have said that the owner, Haji Md. Delowar Hossain and his son, Bablu have already been taken into police custody.
