The highway police have signed an annual performance agreement with the superintendent of police to boost dynamism and transparency in highway-centric policing services in Gazipur.
Additional IGP of Highway Police Mallik Fakhrul Islam signed the agreement with the Superintendent of Police Ali Ahmed Khan at a function held at the Gazipur Highway Police Headquarters on Sunday afternoon.
Ali Ahmed Khan, SP of Gazipur highway police, has improved the highway police’s image substantially by bringing transparency to highway-centric policing services with his tireless efforts, talent and wisdom, said a press release issued by the SP’s office.
Moreover, transport workers concerned have hailed the Shimrail highway police camp and Bhulta highway police camp set up by the Gazipur highway police, restoring law and order on the Dhaka-Chittagong and Dhaka-Sylhet highways, added the press release.
