The by-elections of Naogaon-5 constituency will be held on May 25.
Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmad announced the election schedule at a press conference at Election Commission Secretariat on Monday morning.
The constituency fell vacant with the death of former general secretary of ruling Awami League, lawmaker Abdul Jalil on March 6.
As per the schedule, the last day of submitting nomination paper has been set for April 25 and the last day for withdrawal of candidature is May 6. The nomination papers will be scrutinised on April 28.
Jalil, also a member of Awami League advisory council, died at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.
