Eight suspected Rohingyas held in Barisal

Police in Barisal city have detained a man and a woman along with six children over suspicion that they are Rohingyas refugees. They were held from a hotel on Kathpotty Road of the city in the early hours of Monday, said Detective Branch Assistant Commissioner Shawkat Hossain of Barisal Metropolitan Police. Kotwali police station OC Awlad Hossain said they were investigating why the Rohingyas went to Barisal. The detainees would be sent back to the refugee camps in Cox's Bazar soon, he added.
