Youth Action for Social Change (YASC) has demanded exemplary punishment for the miscreants involved in a recent outbreak of rapes across the country.
YASC, a non-political social organisation, made the call on Saturday through a media release signed by its Founding Director Md Shamiul Alim Shaon.
Recently, the country saw the rape and murder of Comilla Victoria College student Sohagi Jahan Tanu raped and murdered, a 16-year-old girl gang-raped in a residential hotel on Sonadighi intersection at Tanur upazila of Rajshahi city, and a housewife gang-raped in Rajbari area of Gudagari upazila.
Moreover, a school teacher in the aforementioned area attempted to harass four of his female students by uploading obscene photos to Facebook.
