‘Heroes of 71: Retaliation’ to be released on March 26

‘Heroes of 71: Retaliation’, the second video game on Bangladesh Liberation War, will be released on March 26.

State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak came up with this disclosure at a press conference held at Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) in the capital on Wednesday.

ICT Division Secretary Shyam Sundor Sikder, Land Ministry Secretary Mejbah Uddin, BCC Executive Director Ashraful Islam were present at the press conference.

Anyone will be able to download the video game through ‘Google Play Store’ from March 26.

The first video game entitled ‘Heroes of 71’ was released on December 16, 2015, which gained much popularity to the viewers.

ICT Division funded this project to develop a game in respect of our national heroes who fought at the Liberation War of Bangladesh.

Zunaid Ahmed Palak said market size of video games around the world is $100 billion which is very much significant. Considering this market, we have taken an initiative to train 10 lakh youths on ICT. This trained youth will also develop news games to tap this huge opportunity.

Shafayat Latif, managing director of PortBlis also developer of this games, said we have already got immense response from viewers’ which is very much positive especially for us.

“Using 3D graphics and animation, we have created these games. To get real view, we also made the then environment of 1971 Liberation War. Very soon these games would be available at others version,” said Latif.
