A freedom fighter has been hacked to death by miscreants at Kurigram.
Hossain Ali, 65, was walking on the road beside his home, when three men riding a motorcycle hacked at him with sharp weapons around 7am on Tuesday.
Later, they left the scene on exploding a number of hand bombs.
Locals said Hossain Ali along with his family members had converted to Christianity from Islam 17 years ago.
Senior Police Super Masudur Rahman said two fresh hand bombs were recovered from the spot.
"We are not disclosing details about the incident for the sake of investigation," he added.
The body was sent to the Kurigram Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
