A first year student of BAF Shaheen College died yesterday after falling from a water ride in Fantasy Kingdom, a theme park in the outskirts of the capital in Ashulia, Savar.
According to witnesses and police, the dead Samiullah Bari, 19, went to the theme park with some friends in the morning. The incident took place in the afternoon when they went to the park’s Water World section for bathing.
Samiullah fell from a water ride and was critically injured following which he was rushed to a local clinic where doctors declared him dead.
Ashulia Model police station Officer-in-Charge Mohsinul Kadri said the body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College for autopsy and a case was being filed in this connection.
