Three people including two women were killed as a passenger bus rammed a private car from behind in Khilkhet flyover area in the capital.
Khilkhet police station Sub-Inspector Shahidur Rahman confirmed the deaths to the Dhaka Tribune.
The deceased were identified as Delwar Hossain, 65, his sister Anwara Begum, 40, her daughter Lovely Khatun, 22, said the SI.
The police official said a passenger bus of Ena Paribahan rammed the private car in the area at around 4pm yesterday leaving three passengers of the car and its driver critically injured.
The bus also hit another local passenger bus named Tetulia Paribahan. However, no one was injured.
Later, the victims of the ill-fated private car were rushed to Kurmitola General Hospital where the duty doctors declared all three of them dead, he added.
The driver of the car was undergoing treatment at the hospital.
