A total of 101,758 Bangladeshi pilgrims will be allowed to perform Hajj in 2016.
Religious Affairs Minister Motiur Rahman made the disclosure while inaugurating e-Hajj system at the secretariat on Sunday afternoon.
He said: “A total of 101,758 Bangladeshi pilgrims will be allowed to perform Hajj this year.”
The minister said: “Pre-registration under the e-Hajj System will continue till May 30. The pilgrims will have to pay a fee of Tk30,000 for the registration.
“If anyone cancels the registration then he/she will get a refund of Tk28,000.”
However, he did not mention any time frame for cancelling the registration.
