Bangladesh missions abroad yesterday celebrated the 97th birthday of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day with elaborate programmes and due respect.
Heads of Bangladesh missions abroad paid rich tributes to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at Bangabandhu’s portrait.
The day was also celebrated through discussions, doa mahfil, cake cutting and an art competition for children.
Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury attended the celebration arranged by the Bangladesh High Commission in London.
