Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said Dhaka Mymensingh four-lane road will likely be opened by June.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate it,” said the minister yesterday while visiting the under construction 4-lane Dhaka Mymensingh highway at Bhaluka point.
Lawmaker Dr. M Amanullah, Additional Chief Engineer Md. Shahab Uddin, Superintending Engineer Md. Moniruzzaman and concerned officials of Army were present during the visit.
Quader visited different points of the ongoing construction works and expressed satisfaction over the quality and progress of the works.
Later, the minister attended a discussion meeting arranged at Jatiya Kabi Nazrul Islam University, Trishal, marking the 97th birthday of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
