Prime Minister's ICT Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy has said those, who have committed crimes against humanity in 1971, must be brought to justice, no matter what conspiracies are being hatched.
He said: "War criminals in no way can evade trial despite spending crores of dollars for lobbying."
Joy made the comments while attending a reception accorded to him by the leaders and activists of German unit of Awami League and Bangladesh expatriates, reported BSS.
Joy is now in Hanover for attending Centre for Office Automation, Information Technology and Telecommunication (CeBIT) Expo.
Praising the expatriates for playing an effective role in the crisis moment of the Awami League and the country as well, Joy said: "Expatriates always come forward to play their due role whenever the country goes through any crises. They stood by the people of the country during the country's War of Liberation.
"After the assassination of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members, expatriates living around the world had stood beside my family and they also waged movement for restoring democracy after the one-eleven."
Calling on the Bangladeshi expatriates to remain beside the Awami League, Joy said: "We are doing politics to serve the people of the country, not for power. Aim of our politics is to complete the unfinished works of Bangabandhu to build a Sonar Bangla."
Saying that Bangladesh cannot be a militant or a failed state as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is in power, he added that the country is one of the three first-growing countries in the globe. "We have achieved remarkable progress in ICT in the past seven years."
