Detective Branch (DB) of Police have detained five people with 1,400 bottles of phensidyl from capital's Mazar Road area in Mirpur.
The identities of the detainees could not be ascertained yet.
Maruf Hossain Sarder, deputy commission (media) of DMP, said: “They were detained in a drive conducted in the area on Wednesday night.
“We have seized the truck carrying them. The phensidyl bottles were recovered from the truck.”
Meanwhile, DB police also seized a private car from the spot during the drive.
He said details regarding the matter will be disclosed in a press briefing later in the day.
