National Film Award winner Purnima was awarded by Amra Kuri, a national child organisation, for her contribution to films. AAMS Arefin Siddique, vice chancellor, Dhaka University, handed over the award to Purnima on March 15 at the National Song and Dance Centre, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. Moutushi Partho received the award of “Most Promising Singer” at the same event.
“I have received the special recognition award for special contribution to films. Thank you, Amra Kuri,” Purnima posted on Facebook.
Purnima will feature in Redwan Rony’s upcoming drama series Candy Crush for Nagorik Television, the script of which is being written by Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury. Other members of cast include Tousif Mahmud, Schumonn Patwary, Safa Kabir, Nabila Noor and Salman Muqtadir.
