A Dhaka court has fixed April 19 for submitting police investigation report in a case filed by Bangladesh Bank over last month’s digital heist of $101 million from its account with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, USA.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court judge Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman fixed the date on Wednesday afternoon.

CMM Court Recording Officer Sub Inspector Md Jalal Uddin told the Dhaka Tribune that the court accepted the case documents and fixed April 19 for submitting police investigation report.

Bangladesh Bank Joint Director (accounts and budgeting department) Jubair Bin Huda filed the case over its hacked money against unidentified people with Motijheel police on Tuesday.

Later, the case was transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), which has an economic crime squad to deal with such issues.
